Pierre Far, webmaster Trends Analyst at Google uk announced on Google+ last week that a new Google Panda algorithm update will be rolling out. Far says he expects to have everything done by this week.
The Google+ post also tells us that this change can lead to a “greater diversity of high-quality small- and medium-sized sites ranking higher, which is nice.”
Google have discovered new ways to help Panda more accurately identify low quality content. If you have high quality site you should see an improvement in your ranking on google soon, which is all ways good news.
If you were penalized by Panda in the last update you now have a chance to see if the alterations, you made to your site were good enough and should start to see an increase in traffic.
As with all algorithm updates, it won’t work out for everyone. If you didn’t get hit by Panda last time, then this update gives google another chance to get your site if it detects low quality content. If you start to see a drop this week or next week there is a chance you can blame Panda for this.
From the post Far expects around 3-5% of search queries will be affected by this update.
